About the Role

Vertis Therapy is seeking a dedicated Part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Wesley Meadows, MS. As a therapist-owned company, we provide ongoing support and training to our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to treatment.
  • Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on patients.
  • Assist with the care of the Physical Therapy department and equipment.
  • Participate in in-service programs and other meetings as assigned by the Physical Therapist.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills to maintain clinical currency.
  • Adhere to Vertis Therapy Management Policies and Procedures, State, Federal, and Professional Organization regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
  • Prefer minimum one (1) year rehabilitation experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility.
  • Prefer active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adequate computer skills to complete required job duties and computerized documentation.
