This contract-based position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in students' lives while working in a fulfilling school environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in school psychology, with experience in developing strategies that enhance students emotional well-being and learning potential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $45-$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, comprehensive benefits packages are offered, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, professional liability, and both long-term and short-term disability.

Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Educational Specialist for Student Wellbeing include:

  • Providing psychological assessments to identify students' mental health and learning needs.
  • Implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Assisting teachers and support staff in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social-emotional skills.
  • Collecting and analyzing data on student progress, behavior, and responses to interventions.
  • Collaborating with special education teams to tailor strategies for individual student needs.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Masters Degree in School Psychology from an accredited program and hold valid state licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of employment. Certification as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) is preferred.
