Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Sierra Hematology and Oncology Medical Center in the Greater Sacramento area. As a member of our outpatient pharmacy, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient medication management for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe physician orders onto patient medication profiles, utilizing manual and computer entry methods.
  • Select and prepare medications, pharmaceutical products, and intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapeutic agents.
  • Assist in dispensing and distributing medications, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review and maintain pharmacy merchandise and equipment, adhering to regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician in an outpatient setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
