Job Summary

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team at Children's and Women's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to families in need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide family-centered nursing care to neonates and infants, adhering to policies and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Supervise and coordinate patient care provided by licensed and non-licensed staff.
  • Participate in charge nurse responsibilities, including supervising, planning, and evaluating patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications, including controlled substances, and perform therapeutic procedures as needed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, providing basic life support and managing arrest situations.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of transport standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Alabama RN license or current Multi-State RN License in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
  • NRP certification within 6 months of employment.
