Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our Inpatient Therapy Department. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to our mission of extending God's care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial examinations and evaluations to establish patient diagnoses, prognoses, and plans of care.
  • Develop and implement therapy interventions tailored to individual patient needs, involving patients and their families in the planning and implementation process.
  • Monitor patient progress, reevaluate as necessary, and modify plans of care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan for patient discharge, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a setting similar to Adventist HealthCare.
  • Active Maryland License and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Schedule:

Minimum per diem requirement is 2 weekend days or 5 weekdays per month, as well as 2 holidays per year.
