Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our school-based healthcare team. As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals to provide physical therapy services to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Direct Physical Therapy Services: Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEP goals and objectives.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and techniques to enhance students' motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, and mobility.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to ensure integration of therapy goals into the educational setting. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to discuss students' progress, recommendations, and home-based activities.
  • Documentation and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork. Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in school-based physical therapy.
Qualifications
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience and Skills: Prior experience working with pediatric populations is preferred. Knowledge of IDEA regulations and the special education process is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational and time management skills.
