Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical engineering expertise to respond to Engineering Service Requests (ESRs). This includes:

  • Reviewing customer specifications, drawings, and requirements.
  • Developing, designing, and testing innovative product design solutions.

You will be responsible for comprehending the application and functionality of products, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and agency standards.


Work Model:
This role operates onsite, contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division.

Main Accountabilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting various engineering tasks such as analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and service.
  • Creating and modifying engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and technical data sheets.
  • Ensuring that engineering criteria align with proposed applications and recommending design revisions as necessary.
  • Facilitating cross-functional design reviews to confirm that proposed solutions meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2-3 years of experience in product R&D, sustaining, or a similar engineering role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (preferably ProE/Creo) and experience in 3D modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on solution-oriented engineering problem-solving.
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative project team environment, as well as independently on assigned engineering projects.

Candidates must have work authorization that permits employment in the United States.
