We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Toolmaker/Machinist to join our team at Leonardo DRS. As a key member of our Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business, you will be responsible for producing high-quality tools and dies, as well as machining and assembling parts to meet customer specifications.

• Produce quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.
• Follow written work instructions and work under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine.
• Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to machine parts with high precision.
• Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications and make adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop and implement new tooling and designs.
• Participate in LEAN Events and other initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in toolmaking and machining.
• Knowledge of Geometrical Tolerances and experience with Proto-Trak 2-axis mills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CAD software, such as Pro-E or SolidWorks, is a plus.
