Position Overview
The San Mateo County Community College District is seeking an adjunct faculty member in the field of Biological Sciences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment for a diverse student body.
Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the instructor will be to teach courses within the biology curriculum, specifically focusing on introductory biology courses. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging lectures and laboratory sessions.
- Participating in curriculum development and course enhancements.
- Providing academic support to students during designated office and lab hours.
- Staying current with advancements in biological sciences and educational technologies.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Master's degree or higher in any biological science, or a Bachelor's degree in any biological science combined with a Master's degree in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science, or an equivalent qualification.
