We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations
• Pass instruments, sponges, and other necessary items to the surgical team
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts to ensure accuracy
• Assume care of specimens until they are turned over to a Registered Nurse
• Protect patients from potential injury and contamination of the sterile field
• Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized operating room

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or on-the-job training with two years of scrub experience in an OR setting
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification at HCP Level required
• Three to six months of orientation/training depending on experience
