We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Medical Unit at Johns Hopkins Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing staff, and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the delivery of nursing care on an assigned patient care unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Manage professional and non-professional staff, including interviewing, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and disciplining as needed.
- Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our nursing practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- At least 3 years of previous RN leadership experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
- BLS CPR certification required.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
