Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Medical Unit at Johns Hopkins Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing staff, and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of nursing care on an assigned patient care unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Manage professional and non-professional staff, including interviewing, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and disciplining as needed.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • At least 3 years of previous RN leadership experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
