We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic with a strong background in servicing and repairing medium-duty trucks and various small machinery. If you possess the required expertise, we invite you to consider this opportunity with one of the leading outdoor maintenance firms in the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Project and Fleet Managers to evaluate equipment requirements and troubleshoot repair issues utilizing cost-effective methods.
• Oversee and schedule preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours for each piece of equipment.
• Adhere to established monthly and annual budget constraints for the shop.
• Conduct mechanical repairs using standard hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and proactively maintain the fleet and machinery.
• Operate service vehicles for repairs outside of the shop environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop and office areas.
• Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing medium-duty trucks and arbor-specific equipment.
• Experience with machinery such as aerial lifts, wood chippers, skid steers, and ATVs.
• Proficient knowledge in engine repairs for brands like International, Cummins, and Cat.
• Strong ability to utilize computer diagnostic tools to identify engine, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic issues.
• Capability to manage workloads effectively in warm weather conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to order necessary parts as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Comprehensive understanding of arbor and small equipment, including aerial lifts and wood chippers.
• Familiarity with safe operating procedures for aerial lifts and wood chippers.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and internal systems.
• A valid Driver's License (CDL preferred) and compliance with company driver eligibility standards.
