The St. Regis Deer Valley, a luxurious resort in Park City, Utah, is seeking an experienced Sommelier or Wine Steward. This key role requires a wine expert to oversee the wine program, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a high level of service standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the wine cellar, training staff, and implementing wine promotions.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Sommelier or Wine Steward at The St. Regis Deer Valley, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of hospitality professionals and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of wines, beer, and spirits, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the wine cellar and inventory
- Training and educating staff on wine knowledge and service standards
- Implementing wine promotions and events
- Providing exceptional guest service and responding to wine-related inquiries
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have at least 2 years of related work experience and a strong understanding of wine principles. A technical degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
