We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Aide - Patient Care Technician to join our team at MyMichigan Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Basic Care and Support: Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor and Document Patient Status: Record vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other important patient information to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Transport Patients and Supplies: Safely transport patients and medical supplies throughout the facility, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure the patient care area is clean, safe, and well-stocked, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Education and Certification: Must hold a current State of Michigan registry document as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification culminating in licensure in the state of Michigan or completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program culminating in licensure in the State of Michigan or successful completion of one semester of nursing clinical education by an Accredited Registered Nurse Program.
- Medical Assistant Qualification: Effective 11/22/2019, we can also accept a Medical Assistant with the following: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), OR equivalent Medical Assistant Credential such as Certified Clinical Medical Assistant CCMA, etc.
- Physical and Mental Demands: Must be able to move freely about the facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description. Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s). Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.
