Clinical Nurse III: Critical Care Float Pool
Join Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in the region, as a Clinical Nurse III in our Critical Care Float Pool. We offer a competitive hourly range of $36.73 - $60.93, providing you with a stable financial foundation to excel in your career. As a member of our dynamic nursing team, you will have the chance to work in all the Critical Care areas at the Region's only Level I trauma center.
About the Job- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
This role requires collaboration with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients. You will also direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
To succeed in this role, you must hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license and obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). A minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.

- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
