Mechanical Source Inspector Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Verify compliance with purchase order quality flow down requirements and special instructions
  • Conduct inspections using various sampling plans and receiving, in-process, and final inspection reports
  • Perform hands-on dimensional inspections for verifying compliance of complex machined, formed, stamped, cast, and forged parts
  • Review complex engineering drawings, parts lists, and GD&T documents
  • Verify certifications, including CoC, material, finish, and other relevant certifications
  • Conduct first article inspections in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent

Requirements:

  • Experience with commodity - machined parts
  • Knowledge of purchase order quality flow down requirements and special instructions
  • Understanding of QAP drawings and quality assurance provisions
  • Ability to work with AIE documentation and acceptance inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of various sampling plans
  • Ability to conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections
  • Knowledge of IMTE inspection, measuring, and test equipment
  • Ability to work with complex engineering drawings and parts lists
  • Knowledge of GD&T and associated documents
  • Ability to verify certifications
  • Knowledge of first article inspections
