Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Specialist to join our team at the US Department of Homeland Security. As a key member of our Security Programs Division, you will play a critical role in supporting the Secret Service Enterprise and its protective mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the implementation and oversight of security policies, programs, and standards to protect personnel, property, facilities, and information.
  • Oversee and support emergency preparedness, response planning, and continuity of operations (COOP) initiatives.
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on resolving complex security issues and concerns.
  • Monitor and evaluate procedures and processes for handling and safeguarding classified and sensitive information.
  • Conduct research and analysis on administrative, operational, and physical security matters, and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, performing duties such as:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on security matters.
  • Monitoring and evaluating security procedures and processes.
  • Conducting research and analysis on security-related topics.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, that has provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role.
