Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for students facing diverse speech and language challenges.
- Evaluate eligibility for specialized services and tailor therapy plans accordingly.
- Advocate for students within the educational framework, ensuring their needs are met.
Core Duties:
- Implement diagnostic evaluations to identify student requirements.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
- Develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique needs.
- Create effective communication strategies and offer training to stakeholders.
- Perform home visits as necessary to support student development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
- Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) is advantageous.
Licensure Requirements:
- Valid California State Credential in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current driver's license for travel purposes.
Work Environment:
- Engage in both indoor and outdoor settings.
