We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at the Town of Oxford Fire Department. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care and fire suppression services to our community.

Job Summary

The Firefighter/Paramedic will perform a variety of tasks, including responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and operating fire equipment. You will work closely with our team to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
  • Operate fire equipment, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles
  • Participate in training exercises to maintain and improve skills
  • Complete reports and documentation as required
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in proper working condition
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited EMS training program and certification as a paramedic
  • American Heart Association CPR/Defib certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Preferred qualifications: career firefighter/paramedic lateral transfer from a full-time fire department
Benefits

The Town of Oxford offers a competitive salary range of $29.58 to $34.29 per hour, depending on training and experience. Additionally, personnel are eligible for an education stipend and physical fitness stipend.
