Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist is responsible for executing a variety of cleaning and storage tasks within the kitchen environment. This includes washing dishes and cookware, maintaining overall cleanliness, and organizing food and supply storage. The role also involves assisting the Chef with meal preparation as needed.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time, 12pm to 7pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are typical for this position. This list is not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be assigned.

  • Utilizes dishwashing equipment to effectively clean and sanitize all kitchenware, including dishes, utensils, and cooking tools.
  • Ensures a clean, sanitary, and organized environment in food service areas by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing floors, as well as cleaning and sanitizing dishwashing machines.
  • Establishes and maintains the dishwashing and pot washing stations.
  • Conducts cleaning of production equipment as required or instructed by the supervisor.
  • Maintains or exceeds standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Adheres to daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Follows all safety and loss prevention protocols.
  • Participates in all required training sessions.
  • Records and maintains documentation for service standards and compliance with regulations, including:
    • Manual recording of dish machine temperatures and sanitizer levels.
    • Manual recording of pot and pan sink temperatures and sanitizer levels.
  • Assists in the receipt of food and non-food supplies.
  • Supports food preparation tasks as directed by the Chef.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
