Laborer - Heavy Civil Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Laborer - Heavy Civil to join our team at Webber, LLC. As a Laborer - Heavy Civil, you will assist our Foremen and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision.

1. Digging and Excavation: Assist in digging, spreading, and leveling dirt, sand, and gravel using hand tools.
2. Material Handling: Lift, carry, and manually transport construction materials, tools, and supplies.
3. Cleanliness and Organization: Clean tools, equipment, materials, and the work area to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
4. Mixing and Spreading: Mix and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools.
5. Pipe Installation: Join, wrap, and seal sections of pipe.
6. General Labor: Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench, and assembling sections of pipe.
7. Machine Operation: Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering, and assisting in the fusing of pipe.
8. Teamwork and Leadership: Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, and provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
9. Other Duties: Perform other unlisted duties as assigned.

1. Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
2. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
3. Physical Demands: Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
4. Physical Activity: Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
5. Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
6. Work Environment: Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
