Role Summary:
We are in search of a talented and experienced Heavy Vehicle Paint Specialist to become a part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in painting trucks and large vehicles, demonstrating a meticulous attention to detail and a strong dedication to quality. Your responsibilities will include preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles to meet the highest standards, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve a flawless finish.
- Apply paint and finishes to vehicles, ensuring uniform coverage and adherence to specifications.
- Inspect completed work for quality and precision, making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, following safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, including body technicians and service advisors, to ensure timely project completion.
- Stay informed about industry trends and new painting techniques.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a professional painter in a body collision shop, particularly with trucks and large vehicles.
- Strong understanding of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to accurately mix and match paint colors.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines.
- Certification in auto body painting or a related field is advantageous.
