Job Description

The Naval Postgraduate School is seeking a highly qualified Professor to join our Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses in electromagnetics, radar, electronic warfare, and related areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach graduate-level and undergraduate courses in electromagnetics, radar, electronic warfare, and related areas
  • Participate in research projects in the subject area of radar, RF/microwave, electronic warfare (EW), and related applications
  • Prepare research proposals
  • Write scientific/engineering papers to publish research results
  • Develop curriculum and courses
  • Advise and supervise graduate-student researchers pursuing Masters and/or PhD degrees

Requirements:

  • PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent teaching ability or aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to write scientific/engineering research papers
  • Ability to obtain reimbursable funding to support facilities and research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of combined academic and/or industrial experience in DoD-related systems relating to EM scattering and propagation, radar, EW, antennas, RF/microwave circuits, and/or EO/IR
