Job SummaryThe Defense Health Agency is seeking highly qualified Clinical Psychologists to provide behavioral health services to patients with a wide range of psychological disorders. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will conduct psychological assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of patients with various psychological disorders.
- Develop, monitor, and document clinical treatment plans and records in a timely manner.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as psychoeducational sessions and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Oversee and administer psychological testing, including maintaining and securing test instruments and raw testing data.
- Provide expert oversight of training in diagnosis and treatment to certified and intern counselors.
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a one-year internship from an APA-accredited doctoral program is preferred.
- Current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice psychology independently from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.
This position may require working on call during irregular work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
