Assembly Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Fastenal Technology Service Center team. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling, reconditioning, and testing components and devices associated with our industrial vending, bin systems, and other FMI technology devices.

• Assemble, clean, recondition, and test components and devices using work instructions
• Prepare devices for shipment to customers
• Disassemble devices and place parts in their appropriate locations
• Print, inspect, adhere, and scan labels
• Packaging and shipping completed products
• Assist with ordering, stocking, maintaining, and picking inventory
• Maintain quality and efficiencies while providing for continual departmental improvements
• Communicate with the department manager and Fastenal team members
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Comply with safety regulations

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service-oriented
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities

• Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
• Successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location
