Assembly Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Fastenal Technology Service Center team. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling, reconditioning, and testing components and devices associated with our industrial vending, bin systems, and other FMI technology devices.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, clean, recondition, and test components and devices using work instructions
- Prepare devices for shipment to customers
- Disassemble devices and place parts in their appropriate locations
- Print, inspect, adhere, and scan labels
- Packaging and shipping completed products
- Assist with ordering, stocking, maintaining, and picking inventory
- Maintain quality and efficiencies while providing for continual departmental improvements
- Communicate with the department manager and Fastenal team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Comply with safety regulations
- 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service-oriented
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
- Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
- Successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location
