Job Overview

Prosperity Bank is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lender to join our team. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Solicit commercial clients and aggressively seek new business opportunities through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts.
  2. Obtain and maintain COIs and attend various networking events in the assigned geographic area.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  4. Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans, with a focus on closing loans in the $1 million to $10 million range.
  5. Contribute to deposit growth by cross-selling and promoting additional banking products.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or a related field.
  • Formal credit training and/or underwriting knowledge and experience.
  • Typically, a minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships.
  • Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
