Pharmacist Lead

Job Summary

As a key member of the Walmart pharmacy team, the Pharmacist Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, driving sales and profit in the pharmacy and OTC areas, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This role will oversee the implementation of community outreach programs, supervise and develop associates, and maintain confidentiality of information and documentation.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide Patient Care
  • Process and dispense prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer immunizations and counsel patients on healthcare and prescription medication needs.
  • Maintain confidential information and required documentation.
• Drive Sales and Profit
  • Ensure effective merchandise presentation in the pharmacy and OTC areas.
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships to drive sales and profit.
  • Assess economic trends and demographics to inform business decisions.
• Oversee Community Outreach
  • Implement community outreach programs to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local healthcare organizations and community groups.
• Supervise and Develop Associates
  • Select, train, and mentor associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Provide performance feedback and recognition to associates.
  • Ensure diversity awareness and promote a culture of inclusivity.

Requirements

• Education
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
• Certifications
  • Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
  • Completion of an ACPE accredited immunization training program.
