Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Farm Equipment Operator to join our team at Super-Sod. As a key member of our harvesting team, you will be responsible for operating various mechanical farm equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and participating in construction/maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of farm equipment, including mowers, forklifts, and sprayers, to ensure efficient and safe harvesting operations.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, buildings, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Participate in construction/maintenance projects to support the growth and development of our agricultural operations.
  • Train new staff members or act as a lead worker to ensure a smooth transition of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Keep accurate records and prepare reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience operating farm equipment, such as tractors, forklifts, or mowers.
  • Ability to work in a safety-aware environment and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to direct sunlight and weather. The noise level can be loud, and the employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds or more.

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and have full range of motion of arms and legs. Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina are required for this role.Benefits
