Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Artist to join our team at ClearCut DieWorks NJ. As a Graphic Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality artwork for customer approval, while adhering to machine specifications and limitations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and creating vector art from samples
  • Manipulating existing artwork, including masks, bleeds, traps, gradients, separations, and type setting
  • Preparing supplied files for plate making
  • Font recognition and barcode generation
  • Outputting to large format printers and Digital Imaging Devices
  • Preparing files for process printing

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for Mac
  • Pro-level skills with the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator
  • Typographically sound
  • Familiarity with the Flexo Printing Process
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, tight deadline-oriented atmosphere
  • Solid understanding of process printing

Desired Qualities and Skills:

  • Understanding of press characterization and fingerprinting process in Flexography
  • Knowledge of measuring devices such as densitometers and spectrophotometers
  • Experience with Esko Flex Rip and PACKZ pre-press software
  • Knowledge in color management using GMG software
