Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President, Medical Affairs to lead our Medical Affairs function. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to support the commercialization of our products, as well as providing medical and scientific expertise to our cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage the Medical Affairs Function: Develop and execute strategies to support the commercialization of our products, including the development of medical and scientific content, and the management of medical and scientific relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide Medical and Scientific Expertise: Provide medical and scientific expertise to our cross-functional teams, including the development of clinical trial protocols, and the review and approval of promotional materials.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with our cross-functional teams, including Research and Development, Commercial, and Regulatory, to ensure that our products are brought to market in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and Manage Budgets: Develop and manage budgets for the Medical Affairs function, including the management of vendor relationships and the negotiation of contracts.
- Lead a Team of Medical Affairs Professionals: Lead a team of medical affairs professionals, including medical science liaisons, clinical science liaisons, and medical affairs operations specialists.
Requirements:
- Advanced Life Science Degree: An advanced life science degree, including a Ph.D. or Pharm.D.
- Minimum of 12 Years of Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in medical affairs or clinical research, including experience in leading a medical affairs function.
- Experience in Solid Tumor Oncology: Experience in solid tumor oncology, including prostate, neuroendocrine, breast, and melanoma.
- Strong Managerial Experience: Strong managerial experience, including experience in building and leading teams.
- Collaborative Leadership Style: A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to establish and drive strong cross-functional partnerships and scientific exchange with diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive Travel: Extensive travel required, including domestic and international travel.
