About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science and Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our cellular firmware development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge data processing pipelines and machine learning models to drive innovation in our wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop state-of-the-art data processing pipelines using machine learning models and algorithms to analyze large datasets and logs.
  • Collaborate with firmware engineering teams to integrate and deploy machine learning models and data processing pipelines as part of our automation system.
  • Develop and optimize machine learning models to solve complex problems and improve the performance of our wireless systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities and develop solutions to reduce manual processes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Data Science or Computer Science.
  • Proficient Python developer with 3+ years of experience using standard ML tools such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, and HuggingFace.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing end-to-end machine learning projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in Data Science or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing machine learning models and/or deep learning models, feature engineering, and implementing end-to-end machine learning projects.
  • Experience in using analytics and statistical methods to transform data into useful insights and actionable results.
  • Experience with relational database management systems and SQL.
