We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiology Department at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services to patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Conduct cardiology consults and follow-ups, supervising stress tests, and evaluating patients before and after cardiac procedures.
- Work collaboratively with internal medicine residents and other Advanced Practice Providers on the cardiology consult service with the cardiology attending.
- Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures, and provide direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and care.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure from the Maryland Board of Physicians is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) and Orthopedic Physician Assistant certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of cardiology experience post-graduation is preferred.
