Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Bethel School District 403. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in assisting our Speech-Language Pathologists in providing high-quality services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the instruction of students with communication disorders, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to develop and implement effective therapy programs, including creating and modifying materials as needed.
  • Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates to Speech-Language Pathologists and other relevant staff members.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including typing, duplicating, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining the physical appearance of therapy areas.
Requirements
  • Valid Washington State SLPA license
  • General knowledge of communication disorders
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to learn effective instructional and therapy techniques and strategies for students with communication disorders
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
