Speech Language Pathologist, PRN - Shepherd Center

Shepherd Center, a leading rehabilitation hospital, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Shepherd Center, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to helping individuals with temporary or permanent disabilities caused by injury or disease, rebuild their lives with hope, independence, and dignity.

The Speech Language Pathologist will treat patients referred for cognitive-communication and/or dysphagia impairments, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. This role requires a strong foundation in speech-language pathology, with a focus on diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Treat patients referred for cognitive-communication and/or dysphagia impairments
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Design and implement individualized plans of care that address the functional needs of patients and their caregivers
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements:
  • Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited program in speech-language pathology
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Current certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligible for completion of Clinical Fellowship leading to ASHA certification
  • Basic computer skills and effective time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure or experience with diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological impairments
