We are seeking a highly motivated Hospital Custodian to join our team at the Montlake campus.
Job Summary:
This is a full-time evening shift position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure.
- Remove and properly handle soiled linen; disinfect and remake beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mop hard floors with disinfectant.
- Perform bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure.
- Strip, clean, buff, and apply finish to floors. Use high-speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floors scrubbers.
- Perform in-between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure.
- Vacuum and spot-clean carpets; operate automated carpet shampooers and extractors.
- Transplant clean patient and construction areas according to procedures.
- Clean interior or easily accessible exterior windows. Take down and rehang cubicle curtains.
- Perform cleaning and related activities in areas within a reasonable distance outside of the facility using hand-operated tools or small power equipment to remove snow or debris, and sweep sidewalks or stairs.
