Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments, and patient education to patients with implanted intrathecal drug delivery devices. You will work closely with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Deliver high-quality nursing interventions, including pump refills, dose adjustments, and patient education, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Participate in shared governance and integrate evidence-based research into practice to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- 3 years of RN experience with 24/7 accountability.
- Demonstrated skill and ability to complete Intrathecal Nurse Fellowship Orientation program.
- Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and be a resourceful, proactive problem solver.
- Exhibits accurate critical thinking and ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions.
- Ability to work in a remote home office and maintain productive, therapeutic boundaries.
- Demonstrates teamwork through the ability to work well and communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team.
- CPR certification or ability to become certified.
- ICU/ER/OR and/or home care experience.
- Solid understanding of chronic pain/rehab principles.
- BSN degree.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and ability to become licensed in another state if needed.
- Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of smartphones.
- Ability to travel via car, train, or plane, stand, sit, walk, see, hear, and perform CPR continuously in an emergency situation.
