Overview

As a Bartender at Imperial Ferndale, you will embody a welcoming and professional demeanor while showcasing your expertise in both classic and innovative cocktails. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to retain detailed knowledge of our drink offerings and specials.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Crafting and mastering a diverse range of cocktails, including those not listed on the menu.
  • Delivering prompt and friendly service to patrons.
  • Managing food and beverage orders efficiently.
  • Assisting in monitoring liquor inventory and notifying management of low stock.
  • Keeping staff informed of any liquor updates and ensuring the 86 list is current.
  • Processing guest payments accurately.
  • Delegating tasks to barbacks as necessary.
  • Providing menu information and estimated delivery times to guests over the phone.
  • Performing basic cleaning duties as directed by supervisors.
  • Filling in for absent team members when required.
  • Supporting special events as needed.
  • Consistently adhering to grooming and appearance standards.
  • Addressing customer service concerns promptly and escalating issues to management when appropriate.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of bartending experience.
  • SERV Safe or TIPS certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Dress Code

Employees are expected to wear all black attire, free of stripes, polka dots, or graphics. Shoes must be closed-toe with backs. Tank tops and spaghetti straps are not permitted, and shorts, dresses, and skirts should be of appropriate length. Leggings, yoga pants, and sheer clothing are not allowed. Company shirts may be worn, and accessories can be personalized, provided they adhere to the dress code.

Work Environment

This position operates in a standard restaurant setting, characterized by moderate to loud noise levels and frequent exposure to temperature changes and steam.

Physical Requirements

Applicants should be able to:

  • Bend, squat, run, and react physically in a timely manner.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
