Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator at Syntricate Technologies, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL database servers. You will manage support for production, development, and testing environments, ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and configuration of SQL database servers
Managing support for Prod, Dev, QA, and test environments
OS knowledge: Windows, Linux, AIX, AWS EC2
SQL Server cluster creation, configuration, and maintenance
Monitoring performance of all database servers
Access management
Space management
Server health check reports
Following database best practices
Ensuring all database servers are backed up to meet the business Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
Troubleshooting SQL Server and Oracle database servers
Performance tuning database servers
Migrating, upgrading, and patching database servers as required
Deploying database change scripts provided as approved
Backup and recovery using Rubrik tool
Supporting DR and HA solutions
Inventory management (maintaining OS/server/equipment information managed by engineers, server resource details, allocation, licensing info, end-of-life details, etc.)
Documentation of processes
On-call support
