Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Excela Health. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services to patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan.

Responsibilities
  • Practice autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health providers on the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality anesthesia and pain care services.
  • Care for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  • Current PA RN license, Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Individual must meet the credentialing requirements of the Medical Staff Office.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR, ACLS, Act 33/73 Clearances.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The CRNA will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and move about the hospital and operating rooms. The position also requires the ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.

Physical Demands

The following frequency definitions apply to all Physical Requirements unless otherwise noted:

  • Occasional: (0-1/3 of day, hrs/day, - 4 reps/hr)
  • Frequent: (1/3 -2/3 of day, hrs/day, 5 -24 reps/hr)
  • Constant: (> 2/3rd of day, > 5.5 hrs/day, > 24 reps/hr)

The CRNA will be required to work in a variety of settings, including operating rooms, recovery rooms, and patient care units. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.

Cardiovascular Energy Requirements

The physical demands of this position are classified as Sedentary to Light, with occasional Medium and Heavy to Very Heavy activities.
