Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Aide to join our Centralized Transport team at Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in transporting patients and supplies to various patient testing areas of the medical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from patient areas and various diagnostic and treatment centers in a safe, dignified, and efficient manner, utilizing three modes of transportation: bed, stretcher, or wheelchair.
  • Respond promptly to notifications from the Care Logistics AVR system or the Hub Dispatcher.
  • Complete transport request steps before, during, and after transport in the Care Logistics AVR system.
  • Transport medication during specific patient transports.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all transport equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise and occasional exposure to minor injury or other occupational hazards.
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, and constant physical movements on a routine basis.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to written and verbal instructions.
  • No certification, registration, or licensure required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
