Muslim Chaplain

Colby College seeks a Muslim Chaplain to support the spiritual and academic needs of Muslim students. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Jumu'ah prayers, advising the Colby Muslim Association, and providing spiritual care and support to students.

• Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive community for Muslim students, faculty, and staff.
• Coordinate and lead Jumu'ah prayers and halaqas to ensure all Muslim students feel welcome and included.
• Mentor student leaders and support the Colby Muslim Society in planning programs and events.
• Build relationships with Muslim students and provide individualized support and guidance.
• Develop and implement programs to promote spiritual growth and well-being among Muslim students.
• Collaborate with campus partners to foster a stronger sense of community and inclusion.

• Master's degree in a relevant field, such as religious studies, student affairs, or higher education.
• Experience working with college students, particularly in a spiritual or religious context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
