Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Department Description

The LDRP team offers labor, delivery and recovery including post partum and newborn care by a highly trained team of nurses and medical staff in a family centered caring and medically safe environment. All sites are trained in GYN surgical care.

Responsibilities
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
  • STABLE required within 1 year of hire
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
  • ACLS required within six (6) months of hire unless arranged differently with department manager
  • NRP required within six (6) months of hire
  • Previous experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
  • Will train qualified RN with Perinatal experience
Requirements
  • Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations
  • Management: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues
  • Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues
