Job Title: Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor PCU Progressive Care Unit

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Unit Supervisor in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.

Job Summary:
  • Lead a team of Registered Nurses in the PCU to provide high-quality patient care and achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Inova Health System's policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to nurses to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in the acute care setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or eligibility for licensure under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year from date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Unit Supervisor or Charge Nurse in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
