Job Summary:
The Baldwinsville Central School District is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Crew Leader to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of public buildings and grounds. This is a critical role that requires advanced technical expertise, diagnostic skills, and a deep understanding of various mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small crew of Maintenance Worker II staff in performing hands-on maintenance and repair duties
- Diagnose complex issues and execute high-standard repairs to ensure efficient operation of critical systems
- Oversee administrative duties to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high safety and operational standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless maintenance operations
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime
Requirements:
- Advanced technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Working Conditions:
The Maintenance Crew Leader will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical systems. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
