Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. As an integrated part of Brigham and Women's Emergency Department, staff at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital's Emergency Department provides compassionate and personalized care to every patient who comes through our doors. Our board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, nurses and unit service techs have extensive experience in emergency care. We have a 21-bed unit and staffing ratios for nursing are 4 to 1. We stagger our nursing shifts throughout the day to cover the highest volume times with the most staff. We care for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients, and work as a team to provide the best possible treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, efficient care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
  • Work as a team with board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, nurses and unit service techs to provide the best possible treatment.
  • Stagger nursing shifts throughout the day to cover the highest volume times with the most staff.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest emergency care techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • BSN required.
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse License required.
  • BLS required.
  • Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation and may not practice independently without ACLS.
  • PALS preferred.
  • Newly licensed nurse must obtain ACLS and PALS within first six (6) months of employment.
  • ED experience strongly preferred.
  • 2 years' telemetry experience preferred.
