Role Summary
The Senior Clinical Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU plays a pivotal role in patient care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and assisting colleagues in optimizing resource utilization. Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding and implementing policies while supporting team members in achieving core competencies and quality standards.
- Functioning as a charge nurse or preceptor, addressing unit-level challenges in collaboration with management.
- Conducting thorough assessments and reassessments, gathering data to aid in nursing diagnosis formulation.
- Creating a personalized Plan of Care based on patient evaluations, setting realistic and measurable goals, and documenting progress meticulously.
- Coordinating resources and personnel to ensure effective execution of the Plan of Care.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Maryland or eligibility through Compact state agreements.
- BSN degree is mandatory.
- Current CPR certification is essential.
- Completion of ACLS Provider training within the first year of employment in designated departments.
