This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable healthcare system in beautiful Newport Beach, CA and provide a valuable service to patients during pregnancy and post-partum.


Key Highlights:
  • Base salary + Productivity and Quality Bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefit package inclusive of medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, CME
  • 32 hours/week of clinical patient contact and 4 hours/week of administrative time
  • Seasoned support staff including front office, medical assistant, and administration support
  • Large demand for maternal psychiatry in Orange County
  • Hoag is one of only a few programs in the area dedicated to serving maternal patients
  • Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach and Irvine is one of the busiest birthing centers in all of California

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations for Hoag patients in an outpatient setting
  • Provide expert consultations for admitted maternity patients at Hoag Hospital's Newport Beach and Irvine campuses
  • Grow the program with support from Hoag Women's Health Institute

Requirements:
  • Board Certification - or Board eligible - in Psychiatry with experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
  • Specialty training in Perinatal & Reproductive Psychiatry
  • MD or DO degree, and completion of ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry
  • Active, unrestricted California Medical License, or eligible for California State Medical Licensure
  • Active DEA license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting and a passion for providing excellent clinical care
