Aramark SeniorLIFE+ is seeking a part-time Consulting Dietitian to join our team at our Long-Term Care Center in Harrisonburg, VA.

• Conduct medical nutrition therapy assessments on residents to address acute and chronic conditions.
• Educate residents on therapeutic diets and nutrition interventions to improve outcomes and quality of life.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary manager, speech language pathologist, physicians, and nurse practitioners to deliver individualized nutritional therapy.
• Monitor and assess residents with weight changes, enteral feeding, dialysis, and wounds.
• Participate in resident review meetings to address high-risk residents.
• Develop and implement nutrition intervention plans in accordance with the Nutrition Care Process.
• Provide nutrition counseling for individuals, adapting teaching methods to meet patient learning needs.
• Utilize assessment and evaluation techniques considering age-specific populations, cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns.
• Provide follow-ups in accordance with patient treatment goals, referring patients for outpatient counseling, community, or home health services as needed.
• Work cooperatively with medical staff and food and nutrition services staff to ensure conformance to prescribed nutrition care orders.
• Provide education on food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Document nutrition care plans in patient medical records, including assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and progress towards goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
• Familiarity with PointClickCare and MDS process is a plus.
