The Clinical Educator is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for planning, designing, and implementing education programs and services to enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct annual staff needs assessments to identify educational gaps and develop targeted programs to address them.
- Collaborate with nursing directors and department managers to ensure that education programs meet the needs of our staff and patients.
- Develop and implement competency assessments and validation processes to ensure that our staff has the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide ongoing assessment of staff learning needs and ensure that competencies and skills are current and relevant.
- Facilitate training and learning activities through the development of education programs and materials.
- Deliver educational programs through formal and informal means, making effective and efficient use of time and resources.
- Give direction and feedback to participants as needed.
- Operate as a positive influence, identifying, influencing, and facilitating changes in policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Participate in the collection of quality improvement data, research, research utilization projects, and group research projects relating to clinical needs.
- Active, current, and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- AHA Basic Life Support and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment.
- Three (3) years of clinical experience.
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Hollywood and Van Nuys only).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or certification in specialty area.
- Instructor status for BLS and ACLS.
Min - $113,400 | Max - $155,950
