Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team as part of the F-22 Air Combat Simulation (ACS) Man in the Loop (MITL) development team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating new or additional features into the simulation, as well as sustainment of the product and rehost of the Operational Flight Program (OFP) installed on the aircraft to run in a Linux environment. The ACS serves as the Digital Twin for the F22 aircraft and supports pilot training, tactics development, and DT/OT testing including DevSecOps support in the Raptor Virtual Development Lab (RVDL).

Responsibilities
• Develop software on Linux and Windows platforms, in high-order languages such as C++, Java, or ADA, as well as scripting in languages like Python or BASH.
• Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle, locate and correct programming errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities.
• Create, integrate, and maintain mathematical models of both basic aircraft systems and more complex avionics associated with state-of-the-art 5th gen aircraft within non-linear and linear real-time 3-DOF and 6-DOF simulations.

Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science, or another technically related discipline (STEM) university.
• Experience in software development in high-order languages like C++ or Java.
• Master of Science in an Engineering discipline or another technically related discipline from an accredited university is desired.
• Knowledge of aircraft flight controls and automatic flight controls is highly desirable.
• Experience with modeling and simulation is also highly desirable.
